"I would like to thank you for all that you do. We went through your Puppy Class with our dog Koda when she was 6 months old and we were very please with the results. We just finished the Obedience Class (she is now 17 mos. old) and we are even more pleased!

Koda is so much better behaved. The "healing" alone was worth everything to us. Koda's mother is part  Husky & German Shepherd, her father is full  Malamute, so her incline to PULL was a nightmare. I dreaded taking her for a walk! Due to my back problems and her pulling I gave up on training her myself. I found someone here in town that will take your dog and train them for you. I thought WOW, what a great idea! So we sent her to this training facility for a month with a fee of $365.00. At the end of the training she could "pull" a kid in a wagon and "back up" when told to do so. Not at all what I had in mind! We were told that Koda needed to spend a minimum of another month possibly longer. She just wasn't responding to the training.

Long story short, we choose NOT to leave her there any longer and took her home. I contacted you for the next class sign up date and the rest is history! You taught  us how to train our dog and we have a dog that we trained ourselves in 8 short classes. Not only are we proud of Koda and her accomplishments but we are proud of ourselves. We came to the class with the hope of just completing the course and  getting a certificate. Never in our wildest dreams did we think Koda would learn enough to actually win 3rd place in the graduation competition! Koda learned so much from you class such as heal, sit, not only "down" but to stay down for 3 minutes, right turn, left turn, about turn, and so much more. I can't say enough about how much we appreciate you and what you do. Your training methods are very EFFECTIVE and extremely humane.

I watched approx. 22 dogs, breeds from German Shep., Boston Terriers, Poodles, Mutts, you name it, and at the end of the 8 weeks every dog was now an obedient dog. It is truly amazing to see the dogs at the beginning of the training and watch them at graduation. You would never know that they are the same bunch of dogs! You do a spectacular job with people and their animals. You should be very proud of your business. We will recommend you to every dog owner we get the opportunity to." "Just want to give Ed and Jan a big "thanks" for the puppy obedient class that was just completed for "Addison" and myself. To be real honest, I was very skeptical about Addison the first day (even more myself!). As I brought this 8 month old labrador to be obedient trained, (wow, what sane person would do that!) it turned out to be one of the most rewarding thing a human could do for your puppy.  As the first day came and was over, I thought to myself, Margaret you are absorbing all this information for future use, this dog is not understanding one word of this!!  As the 2nd, 3rd week came I was more or less just as confused as Addison on what I needed to do as well as what she needed to do, in line with 25 plus humans all saying commands at the same time.  Ed told me, your dog needs to learn your voice and commands. (I thought ok, tell Addison that) Much to my surprise, the more I worked with her on a day to day, one on one, as to what she was to learn and hoping I was teaching her correctly, it all came together.  The format that Ed teaches could not be any better, different or perfect.  It is all understanding and done to perfection!!!  Addison and I have a lot of continuous work together to do to maintain our obedient experience. Addison is great proof of what and how you teach can be done, it happened to her!   
Ed, you are highly (no words to really be found that can express) remarkable in your profession and love for canines. Thank you so much for your willingness to teach anyone your compassion and love that you have for a canine."

And although I have an exceptional GSD, and I trained with her about a half hour to 45 min 3 times a week, it was really quite simple with the method J and E Canine Academy offers. Correction, Praise, Consistency, is exactly that, when the dog exhibits the bad behavior, firmly correct them every time the second the dog does the good behavior, praise them every time.
